markdown to html
take_html() saves one standalone .html file with its styles inside. Open it in any browser, send it, or put it on a server as it is.
plain text to a clean document
No markdown needed. Paste plain text, leave a blank line between paragraphs, and take the PDF. Put a # in front of a line when you want it to be a heading.

Write on one side, flip to read on the other. Headings, lists, links, images, quotes, code blocks, tables and footnotes all render. Every keystroke autosaves here, and stash_version() keeps a copy before a big rewrite.
private and secure, by design
Most converters upload your file to their server and send a PDF back. This one has no server to send it to: the PDF and the HTML are made on your device, so drafts, contracts and notes stay with you. No account, no cookies.
free, with nothing held back
No sign-up, no trial, no daily limit, no watermark. The PDF keeps real text, not a picture of it, so it stays small, sharp and searchable.
Questions.
Is it free?
Yes. No account, no sign-up, no trial and no watermark on the PDF.
Is my document uploaded anywhere?
No. It is written, saved and turned into files inside this browser. There is no server to send it to.
Is it safe for private or confidential documents?
Yes. Your words never leave this browser. They are not uploaded, logged or stored on any server, so there is nothing for anyone else to read, us included.
Why use this over other markdown to PDF converters?
It never uploads your file, the PDF has real text you can search and copy, and there is no sign-up, limit or watermark. Many free converters upload your file first and hand back a picture of the page.
How do I convert markdown to PDF?
Write or paste your markdown, then press take_pdf(). The file downloads straight away. Flip to the read side first if you want to see it as the PDF will.
How do I export markdown as HTML?
Press take_html(). You get a single .html file that looks like the read side and needs nothing else to open. copy_md() and take_md() give you the markdown itself.
Can I make a PDF from plain text?
Yes. Paste the text as it is. Blank lines become paragraphs, and the PDF comes out set like a proper document.
Where is my writing kept?
In this browser's storage, on this device. Clearing the site's data or pressing wipe × removes it, so take a copy of anything you need to keep.
